• Sci­ence stan­dards: Ahn­er said he would sup­port the sci­ence stan­dards the state school board decides on. If the board decides to include the teach­ing of Intel­li­gent Design, he said he would sup­port it.

Ahn­er said he likes that peo­ple are con­struc­tive­ly debat­ing the issue.

Kli­ka said although he thinks there is a place for both the­o­ries in life, he believes sci­ence should be kept in the sci­ence class­room. He added that from a sci­ence stand­point evo­lu­tion is the strongest theory.
