Missing audio
It turns out that the first two days of testimony at Audible.com are missing a few hours. I checked with a guy at Audible, and he said this:
You’re right. A few speakers didn’t make it.
On Day 1, there were audio problems in the hearing room that made at least an hour of the audio unlistenable & unusable.
On Day 2, the guy who was doing the recording for us had equipment problems and missed about an hour. We’re still hoping to recover some of that audio, but I don’t have high hopes.
Anyone who has good notes from the missing speakers, or their own audio, I’d be glad to find a place to host it.
I also want to thank Audible for making this available. I’m annoyed that there may not be a complete audio recording of the event, but they are giving this away as a public service, so I can hardly criticize them for not having backups or something. They did a great public service, and I’m glad they did.
Again, anyone with a good audio recording of the hearings, or just the missing portions, please let me know, and I’ll try to make it publicly available. I think Daniel Ely and Bryan Leonard are among the people whose testimony is missing or incomplete.
