That means one vote switch would have giv­en a tie. Two Repub­li­cans could­n’t make it, pre­sum­ably because they did­n’t want Tom Delay to pok­ing their dead bod­ies with sharp sticks.

Ah well. I hope Moore got some­thing good in exchange for his vote.
